Sometimes my heart feels tired. Like
We can get so busy we don't realise
the tremors and tears we are causing
our bodies. We churn out duties and
demands like we'Te machines. We treat
our days like timetables. But we are
not machines. And our days are not
timetables. We are tender, soft,
incredible creatures of light and
our hearts are meant for living and discoursing in profound
and genuine connection. Our days are
meant for spontaneity and serendipity
and walking bare feet on grass and
sand and soil. Playing too. Feeling
there is always enough time, always
enough time to do the things that
prove we
are so deeply alive. And
so I will remind myself of this
gentle and constant truth before I
sleep and as I begin my day and as
many times as I need through it
too because I will not be one who lost
out on her days because she forgot
she was so much than her duties.
